A reminder about the road closures for fresh surface treatments to be laid this coming weekend. In addition there are overnight road closures in Romsey for Network Rail and Southern Water works.
I was delighted to sign off on the Traffic Regulation Order which confirms the reduction in the speed limit on Redbridge Lane in Nursling as it passes the Fen Meadow development.
The current speed limit along this stretch is 40mph, which will now be reduced to 30mph.

This week I have received a number of emails about the Energy Bill which is currently being scrutinised in Committee. As I am one of the members of the Panel of Chairs who is sitting on the Bill I am not able to table amendments or even vote in future stages of the Bill.

You might have noticed that there are now roadworks on Botley Road for emergency Southern Water repairs.
Due to urgent pipe issues affecting the quality of water, Southern Water has deployed two-way temporary traffic lights on Botley Road east of Halterworth Lane to make repairs.
Good news if you enjoyed the light-up trail at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens last December. The experience is returning this year between November 30th and December 31st.
Great news that public tours of the Elizabeth Tower and Big Ben are resuming from September, with bookings open to the public from 14th June for September tours.
