Royal Mail have been delivering an election leaflet this week. It includes this article about TVBC recycling.
It is entirely untrue.
You will, from next year, be able to recycle pots, tubs, trays, plastic wrapping, cartons and tetrapaks in your bin. All this a year ahead of any other Hampshire authority.
We will also be collecting your food waste weekly. The Government is not forcing TVBC to improve.
Indeed, next week we are introducing plans to set the money aside to pay for the new bins and caddies (almost 175,000 of them in total), new bin lorries to collect the food recycling and pay for their distribution to your door.
The fact that one of our parties feels it necessary to make stories up is why people get so sick of politics.
Clearly persuading people to vote for them is more important than telling people the truth.
