I recently popped into the Town Hall in Romsey to meet the team providing the Barclays Local Service. It is available at Romsey Library, Station Road on Friday’s and Saturday’s 9.30am – 5.00pm and Romsey Town Hall, Market Place, on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s 9.00am – 5.00pm, offering face to face financial support and education for customers, without the need for them to travel.
It was useful to hear how customers visiting them at either location are able to access a wide range of services including financial reviews, balance requests, opening saving accounts and have support with digital banking. It is, however, a cashless site, so everyday banking transactions including cash deposits and withdrawals will need to be completed at a local Post Office.
Barclays now has over 200 pop-up banking sites located in town and city centres, plus presence in spaces such as community centres, libraries and business hubs where it offers drop in and pre-booked appointments, along with the support of our Barclays van.
